Jordan fields most of these calls himself, and from June on, hurricane-season questions come in almost as often as pricing ones.
Good to know before you call
Florida has Jordan Moving Company listed as a registered household goods carrier, and the crew roster doesn’t turn over with snowbird season — most of these movers have been on the same team for years.

Do you move everything yourselves, or does it get handed off to another carrier?
Your job never leaves our hands. The trucks are titled to the company, the crew is on our payroll, and nobody else touches your belongings between pickup and delivery.
Are your crew members employees, or contractors picked up per job?
W-2 employees, all of them. A good number of this crew has worked together for years, not weeks.
How much does hurricane season actually change how a move gets scheduled?
Enough that Jordan builds it into the calendar from June through November. Evacuation-route timing, storm-shutter prep, and flood-zone insurance deadlines all get worked around your date rather than discovered the week of.
What's a rough cost for a two-bedroom move inside Fort Myers?
Two movers run around $110 an hour, four run closer to $190. If watching a clock isn't your thing, send Jordan photos of the place and he'll price it flat instead.
My Bonita Springs HOA restricts moving-truck hours. Does that complicate scheduling?
Not if we know ahead of time. Jordan contacts the HOA office before your date so your crew clears the gate on arrival, no back-and-forth at the guardhouse.
Which towns make up your everyday local territory?
On a normal week that's Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Estero, Lehigh Acres, San Carlos Park, and North Fort Myers. Beyond Florida, our regular long-haul lanes go to Raleigh, Richmond, Louisville, and Columbus.
My downtown Fort Myers building has a narrow loading-dock window. Can you work with that?
That's routine. Jordan locks in the dock or elevator reservation your building requires before your date, so your crew isn't idling on a property manager's callback.
Can you prove Jordan Moving is actually licensed to operate in Florida?
Yes — that covers state registration for household moves, federal authority for long-distance jobs, and current insurance on every truck.
My condo association wants a certificate of insurance before my move date. Can you get that over to them?
Send over a contact at the building and it's handled, usually reaching their inbox well before your crew shows up.
Can you hold my belongings between a move-out and a closing date?
We rent climate-controlled units, priced roughly $95 to $220 a month depending on size, and the same crew that loaded your things brings them back out when you're ready.
How far ahead should I book?
A week is enough for most local jobs. Push that to about three weeks for a long-distance move or if your date falls during peak snowbird season.
What happens if something's damaged in transit?
By default, you're covered at sixty cents per pound. Ask ahead and Jordan can set you up with full-value protection instead — roughly one to three percent of your declared value, with nine months from delivery to file a claim.
Can Jordan Moving handle a small office relocation near the Cape Coral business corridors?
Regularly. A back-office move goes through the same flat-rate, written-quote process as any household job.
